CEFL English Adventure Camp

Exam's over.....
Long holiday is approaching soon...
It's kiddos' honeymoon time....

I always want my kids...
To spend their time wisely...
Especially during long holiday....

Going for a camp,
Would be an ideal way...
For them to learn new stuff,
And having different experience...

I'd been sending my kids...
To basketball camps,
Drama camps...
And this round,
I'd like to find,
An interesting language camp...
For my eldest.....

I saw they are organizing an English Camp:

Language. Leadership. Life skills.
Bingo!~
This is exactly what I'm looking for,
For my boy...

But........
When I read thoroughly....
It's a MUST sleepover camp....
And it's 5D4N,
Not one night but FOUR NIGHTS!!!
Plus it's adventurous!~~~~

Well.... Yes,
I did send them to camp before...
But all those 'camps' are not a real camps...
It's a camp minus a sleepover....

Questions start playing in my mind:
Is it safe to let my boy go for it?
Can my boy adapt to the environment?
Can my boy cope without having me around?

I decided to let my boy,
To step out of his comfort zone,
To learn new skills,
To go for A Hero's Journey!~

It's educative,
It's fun,
Can't see any reason I don't let him go....

Well,
Of course,
I'll still respect his decision...
And let him decide.....

He's super excited about the camp programme...
He can't wait to find out...
What's all those activities are about.....

BUT.........
When he knew he's going to sleepover there,
He said NO!~
No Way!~

Until he saw this video...
He began to hestitate...
Maybe he should give it a try....

He just can't resist..
The call to Adventure.....

If you and your kids,
Are adventurous enough..
And wish to spend time,
Out of their comfort zone...

  1. Learning English language is slowly becoming a necessity these days. Being an ESL teacher for almost a decade now, I must say that I'm impressed by the whole idea of the camp. It makes learning fun which is very important especially for kids.

I am an English Major, and this just makes me wish that we had camps of this sort when we were kids. Would have been great!

  3. I miss camping, we usually do this in the Philippines if we have Girl Scout Camping in school. But this camping you have is way differ from mine, this is good in helping develop your skills in speaking and writing English language. Not just for fun, but to enjoy learning how to say English word properly.

  6. I think an activity like this would be good for my kids, but I do not know if they would like to spend four nights camping! I am not really a fan of camping myself, hehe.

  7. I always looked forward to camps during school breaks when I was a kid. Ours during my time didn't require us to sleepover for several days. Sleepovers usually makes parents worried, but I'm sure your kid will enjoy. More than the English language skills, your child will also gain a lot from the camp / sleep over.

  8. That's a great camp I'd love send my kids to as well. I love the English language, it's sort of our first language at home (by choice).

  9. I might say that your kids are very lucky that they have opportunities to go to camps. I used to have that kind of opportunity too, but I think they just became wasted because I wasn't that interested.

  12. Children who attends learning camp have the edge in gaining knowledge and experiences. More than anything to love our kids to enable them to enjoy life while they're growing up.

  14. Language skills are really important especially now that the world is going heavily towards globalization. There are many exchanges of culture and business deals. Kids going to camp must feel more confident when away from home. They learn to be stronger.
